Baseball tournament was cancalled today due to rain. When I heard the forecast, I was tempted to not do much. I couldn't get that other day out of my mind and the amount of large fish I hooked. That was enough to push me over the edge.

1st fish of the day, jig and pig Black/Red Booyah. 6.61 pounds.

Hey guys, me and my nephew went this evening and caught a few nice fish, he fished for brim and such and i threw some bigger stuff, caught a big girl surrounding the nest, she weighed in at 5.9 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long, i have pics that i will post on this same thread and the date and weight will be on the pic.

Nice Fish Lance. How do you know she was guarding a nest?

Looks like a beautiful little honey hole.

My pre-spawn/spawn should really be heating up the next few weeks. I can't wait, classes end this Friday and I will have some more time on my hands to chase some pigs.

well i watched her for a while swimming back and forth around a spot in the water that looked to be her nest, the spot was kinda dug out a little bit and she stayed around that general area.

Good looking bass Chuck, congrats on another 5+ lber. The fish in your area sure have a nice coloring to them, almost an emerald green.
