Did decent today

Caught two decent fish today at the new place. First on a top water lure and the second on a jig. I purchased a brand new 2 in 1 scale and measuring tape, and when i got out there, i realized the needle on the scale was broken, so I dont have any weights for the fish. Its almost like somebody doesnt want me to submit a fish in this tournament. Anyways, here are the two fish with their repective lengths. Ill also post them in the tournament signup post, but I understand if they cant be submited.

this one is 17.75 in this photo, but i have the tape measure too close to my boot so I put it at 17. she was NOTICEABLY fatter than the first fish shown, I sure wish the scale part of the tool wouldnt have broken before ever getting to use it.

Hey I almost done the same thing...I got a picture of the 5 1/2 ...10 minutes later I caught a 3 1/2 and the camera says..memory Card filled..I grabbed the video Youtube camera..acted like the batteries were dead..I put the bass on a stringer and started to sweat some.LOL .Then I pulled the video camera one more time..it came on..

We must have a scale Gangly..that inch formula..is not always right
Today I would have guessed my 20 incher to be over 4..it wasn't normally a 20 incher is over 4..it was just a 3 1/2

AND my 23 incher..possibly a 6 and it wasn't ..only a 5 1/2 ..normally a 23 incher is about 6 pounds..but it wasn't ..laying down always makes the fish look skinny but both of my fish were thick fish...the main reason why I use a ruler with big numbers..
