Default Tourny Talk

Looks like some serious competition this year...This is my year for a 10 pounder..I had 3 opportunities last year...blew all 3 ]-:

We need some more guys for the North..I'll give anybody 20.00 who can beat Buckhunter14..{ FROM THE NORTH} smallmouth or Largemouth..LOL I'm for real..This guy is tough,

Let me recall my 3 tens last year and what happened..

1. Not paying attention..grabbed a shiner..all happened too fast nearly broke my wrist...off in 2 seconds.

2. Grabbed a shiner..20pound Power Pro...snapped like thread ..drag wasn't set properly..battle lasted 1.5 seconds

3.Hooked a monster on a Rooster Tail..Everything was right..drag..timing...fight lasted 45 seconds..hooks came out..Have no idea what happened..

I know for certain there is a bigger bertha exactly where i caught my ~5+lb'er last year because i hooked her as well.

I stuck her a week after catching my personal best, and in the exact same spot. When i set the hook, it was like setting it in a stump. In fact, thats exactly what i though at first. I popped the line once after setting the hook and thought dang, im stuck again, then all of a sudden the line took off. I yanked back again and fought her for maybe 2 seconds before bertha spit it out, leaving me surprised and empty handed. I wont forget that one for a long time, and I have a photo album spot waiting just for her. Hopefully she's looking to dance again this year, and if so, i'll be there with the music

Some interesting stories there C7, I recall one that broke my off in the lillie pads last year, would like to have seen that one.

As well as a dozens of Steelhead that broke me off... But that's a whole different ball game!

Hopefully over the next month we can get some more participants from the North.

Default Tourny Question

Since there are so few smallmouth fishermen would it be ok if I grouped them all together ..Small mouth only..right now I only have 3 smallmouth fishermen when I include mr. Hutton

Thanks Mb....last year there were no south entries with small mouth..
Appreciate it..you are now officially part of the Smallmouth Group..

REMEMBER ..anyone who beat Buckhunter ...smallmouth or large will get a 20.00 bill from me.
That youngster needs his butt beat..LOL
