Chuck you need to try a War Eagle Spinner bait (any color you like) they work VERY good for me caught tons of fish on them.

I may in the future..but right now what I'm using is working well for me..;)

I also saw some churning in the cat tails..that excites me so next week before the full moon I will begin pitching and flipping..I only chuck spinnerbaits for quick reaction strikes..

Cabelas and Walmart wouldn't appreciate you guys trying to steal one of their best customers..:)

To be honest with ya..I use my boat alot to pick the lures off of bushes and trees..that shore fishermen lose.I try them out.If they are good, I'll buy them. I have pulled over 50 different spinnerbaits..like new off of tree branches..I've sold most for a 1.00 a piece at garage sales.

I have to confess...I still carry those Rooster Tails for when the situation presents itself..I have too much confidence in them to take them out of my tackle bag..[8D]

hey chuck i know its prolly a stupid question but what does color affect in spinners and mostly any bait??? i always went with black bc i thought they could see it better in darker water, im sure there is a better explanation for certail color choices??

NOt sure either but the pros will tell you to use.

Dark with dark water and light with clearer water..


Heres a quick summary of my last 50 years of fishing and reading numerous magazines and expereince..

I personally try to 'match the hatch'..Our bass love chasing those small 2 inch gizzard shad early in the morning.The little shad with the black dot on it's side..therefore almost all of my reaction baits are white.

Also, I'm told that bass attack red..the reason why many lures have a little red painted on them..The bass have like a dotted line that goes down the side of them called a lateral line this helps them pick up the sounds of bait..thus the reason why many lures have BBs in them ..that rattle .

Unlike people..bass to not eat unless it's timeto eat..so they do bite better on some days than others..They are aggressive though and you can sometimes with the right approach cause them to bite out of a reaction..

Pressure can hurt your fishing as well.THey opened up a lake here in FLorida 2 years ago..THe bass bit anything thrown at them..They were all catch and release..Most guys boated over 100 bass..Today..same lake..you are lucky to boat 5 bass in 5 hours..They wise up real fast..

Kalvin..expereince is the best teacher..the more time you fish the better you will get.

One more little tip 4 u Chuck7 the 1/8oz spinnerbait Terminator makes is called a TinyT and if u go to purchase make sure to get in Oklahoma Blade it will make all the difference in the world. Just trying to help. Good Luck

I appreciate the advice..I know your an advid fishermen and I've seen your pics..;)so I'm all ears..

I actually like the way the Terminator looks..I plan to take off the Indiana and put on a willow..It looks better than the rest..i like that tight wire arm and full body.:)
