bass fishing
 
i got a tournament coming up saturday, temps are friday 75 saturday high 85. i need some help on what bait's to use, on when they are starting to nest/ on the nest/ and when they are coming off the nest/? last 2 years during this tournament at this time we done horrible. thanks for the help. heres the fish i cought last saturday at laurel.

I can not see any fish at all right now... Rapals and buzz baits normally will draw them out when nothing else works for you.. Also spinners when realed slowly along with just enough force to make the blade flicker. Good luck to you.. Have you tried worms or those sented lizzards? You will need a variety of things to try sometimes..

If they are on the beds, a tube or jig fished on them while sight fishing. Topwaters if it is warm enough. Suspending jerkbaits or soft plastics, maybe a spinnerbait if your looking to cover a lot of ground. Just switch up off of your normal routine and try some new stuff ;)

Although i can not speak much about the fishing in the southern states up here the bass will come up early. They come up or head into the shallows as the top water is warmer than the bottom and they will hit the buzz baits fairly quickly if near the top. They will start hitting them with in a few weeks after ice out and some of those warm water lakes here ice just went out a couple of days ago..
