I will eat bass, but normally just catch and release. I love fresh trout, catfish, crappie, and most saltwater fish including shark.

When I say a dogfish I mean a freshwater dogfish. They are one mean fish. It's a scavenger, it's green and kinda blotchy. Kinda looks like a eel. That's the best definition I can give. But I am taking about a freshwater dogfish not a spiny saltie dogfish.

Mausor-yes,bass do get worms. around here they get them when the water temp is really high and you can see them in the fins. just release the fish and they go away in the winter, no big deal.

I can't believe you guys not liking carp. You come to the tip of southeast nebraska and catch carp out of the Missouri River, they are twice as good as a catfish here any ways. I know out east those pond carp are nasty, but not the river carp around here.

Dan B. I scraped my leg just a little in the current river. Clear, clean, cold fresh water. About a week later it swelled from the knee to my foot. A week after that I went to the ER and they said another day and I would have ost my leg. It's the cooties in the water and not the water itself.

Think I can cook some good carp, but a big hell no to the eels.
