circle hooks....
besides catfish what else do these magic hooks work for?? can you fish them under a bobber or no because of the way the fish has to take a while to get the hook in its mouth?? will they work for say...12-14 inch rainbows in a lake on the bottom with power bait minnows or maggots or worms on??? i heard some fish bite diffrent and thats why some species they wont work with...i always used to loose trout in a lake...but have no intentions in eating them so i like to release them alive and kicking after admiering them....i used tiny treble hooks now..any hit is a fish.....i had to cut so many lines it got ridiculous...im not going to fight and dig a hook out and kill the trout....and alot of times they are fine if let go...but id like to use cirlces so i can get a good corner of the mouth set everytime and not hurt them....if they work for trout what size would you recomend...thanx.....you might call me a cheater but im in it for fun and dont want to kill the fish....

RE: circle hooks....
circle hooks work wonders on stripped bass, you just have to get used to a steadypull when you set the hook rather than the usual sharp set.

RE: circle hooks....
I use them for all baiting. Have caught dozens of Northerns on them with 30 lb mono leader with a bobber and have never been cut off.
