Default Strongest, Toughest Lures

I'm looking for some advice as to who makes the strongest fising lures. I'm fishing in South America for Dorado, they have big teeth and very strong jaws, when they clamp down they are fracturing the middle, less protected areas of the lures, at first I didn't even notice, and then whenever they hit anything hard they are just breaking in half. Also, even when they are still in one piece, it seems they are filling with water and won't swim right in the water, strange. In any case, I'm needing to buy some replacements and wondered if somebody more experienced in the many brands and qualities of lures could shed some light on this. I am using mostly hard baits, minnows, etc... although they do respond to spinnerbaits, of which the shorten the length of the skirt quickly. Any solid help appreciated. I tried to load pictures but files were too large. Thanks

My guess would be Johnson Silver Minnnow Spoon or Rattle Traps..

My suggestion is get on Larry Dalhberg's hunt for big fish site. They have a forum there and since that guy spends most of his time chasing down huge lure busting fish, I would ask the same question there. I do know that rattle traps don't hold up well to big fish. Their big teeth absolutely wreck the lure to the point it won't run right and the hooks gets pulled out pretty easy. I doubt any fish could break a spoon though! I would look at the musky and pike fishing lures. They were built for big toothy critters.

I wouldn't ever bother with the saltwater forum... it gets posted on about once every two weeks!
