RE: bass fishing on the st.marys river
try downsizing baits, what is the water clarity like, what is the current like, fish in the eddy's, throw into the current, fish bait along with current, if the water is gin clear downsize line and baits and go with nuetral or even transparentcolors
second on thefluke and the rooster tail
BTW, fish you can see are the toughest to catch for me, unless there "locked on" beds

i tried the flukes and frogs but i havent tried the rooster tail yet i havent even thought about that thanks. The water is stained you cant see the fish too good unless they are in real shallow water.i have caught 1 bass out of it with a buzzbait but the been the only one so far.i will fish it harder due to my new job so maybe ill figure something out. Thanks for the help.

zara spook/puppy depending on the quality of fish in the river. River's around here traditionally have smaller bass which prefer the zara puppy. That being said I fish the spook because it singles out the bigger bass.
