RE: what do you use for bass? plugs or jigs or worms?
C7, have you ever tried the "shaky head worm" method?
Put a 1/8 or 1/4 oz. jig with long hook shank on the top of the worm. Work the hook as deep into the worm as possible to get "tail bites". I have heard they have good movement and get deep to the larger fish?
Any comments / ideas?

no sir..I did read about it though in last months bassmaster magazine..My neighbor has a life long subscription of that magazine and he gives them to me..He's on a resperator and no longer reads them. He also gives me his Bass News.
Right now I'm still trying to master the jig.It took me quite a while to figure out what a hit feels like and whento set the hook
A bite can come in 2 ways..
A,,, you feel nothing but notice your line is moving..BAM! set teh hook..because a jig is short..if your line is moving the hook is in his mouth.
B...thisiis the one that has tricked me..You are bumping your jig SLOWLY and it feels like you are going across pebbles..ACTUALLY, that is the jig bouncing around in the bass' mouth. SET THE HOOK!! there are no pebbles in my lake...it took me a long time to realize they weren't pebbles but actually a fish..The pebbles don't last long either.. so set the hook fast..AND HARD!! I never cross the fishes eyes..well, when jig fishing you need to cross thier eyes or the hook won't set.another lesson learned.
no sir.I've never used the shaky worm technique yet but will one day..

A bite can come in 2 ways..
3. the bite that feels like you ran over a brick with the lawnmower (my favorite)
4. the bite that feels like your reeling in a wet sock[:-][&:]but no noticeable line movement, many people say their bait became heavy( my least favorite)[:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]
buckrub, i'd say tubes and small worms and lizards would be good starters
3" tubes and 4" worms/lizards with an 1/8-3/16 bullet weight and a 1/0 and no bigger than a 3/0 hook, flukes, and small crankbaits are a good idea also
the clearer the water the smaller i'd go baitwise

Oh yeah..I forgot about that one..the last one I had one was like that..caught me off guard....I usually say.."Ah crap!! I just missed a big one!"[:@]

..but most of mine are like a fish gargling with marbles..and ya better be quick because he only gargles for 2 seconds..it feels like your going over a rock bar with stones..but Dah.we don't have stones in most of our lakes..we have sand...mud...mudrock...and TONS of hydrilla...some limestone...covered with algae.

I basically bright(pink/lime) jigs with brown 3" powerbait grubs. Sometimes frogs and worms but I prefer powbait because I don't have to buy them each time I go.
