what bait in the river?

My friend asked me to go river fishing and i need bait. Ill mainly be fishing for bass and maybe carp. What bait is the best when fishing from a boat? Plug or worm or grub or sumthing else?

Use rubber worms, crawdads, etc...

And for carp use nightcrawlers

I was fishing in the MeKong three months ago and all I used was shrimp. I was catching catfish, eel and misc.

Regular worms on a number 6 hook will do just fine. Also try bottom feeding them instead of trolling. Youll probably catch some pretty nice cats and redhorse as well.
