|
RE: fly patterns
What kind of trout are you fishing for?, Stocked or native? I think he is fishing in clear water as most trout do better in the clear water found in small streams ( creeks). So pass a little more info and I am quite sure someone can help you out here.

And one last thing... edit your signature line!
Outdoor sports aren't hobbies, they're a way of life (Sorry I couldn't help myself) |
RE: fly patterns
if you want to know what fly to use, look around, see what bugs are flying around, swimming around in the water, then once you catch one if you have a stomach pump pump their stomach and that will tell you exactally what they are eating and what to use. That as much as i can help you till you give more info.

Use a beaded hare's ear or pheasant tail nymph. |
RE: fly patterns
Those will work but in some areas beaded will get you a fine.. Fly fishing only areas here at least cannot have any wieght in or on them. Small streamers should work well right now too..
