Catfishing the New River (please help)
 

I have tried many times to successfully fish for cats with no luck. I cannot understand why for years I have never been any good at it. I've read the books and tried all the baits with no luck. Cats are all I really fish for cause its the only freshwater fish I like to eat. Anyway, its time agian for my fiancee and I to head for a camping trip to the new river in Va and I dont wanna go another year and never catch a fish. ANY tips, tricks, meathods, baits, lures, hooks, line.........ANYTHING you guys recommend???

I would suggest going out with several different kinds of baits like: worms, cut fish, chicken liver, stink bait, small live crawfish. Experiment with different types of bait at different spots at different times.
