Chuck,
I'm sure it would be fine to carry your boat... people have always used boats in there and they have to get them in somehow. Also the old Summer Landing apartments (sunset lakes now) has a boat ramp that is accessible depending on water levels.

Let me know if you fish it and how you do. Its only been a couple of years since I fished it but there has been a lot of development on the far side (Terra Largo)
