my sons first big bass
 
As you can see its a nice bass his first really nice one I did not have a way to weigh it so any guesses how much it was? The look on his face should help lol

how big is your son? my guess would be a 5lber but its very hard to tell

Nice bass, congrats to him, my guess is around 3 1/2 lbs.
I do not have the length of it but that is what it looks
like to me..

Very nice fish,

His back part is not as thick as the head..If so I'd say close to 7 BUT becasue it's much slimmer I'd say 5 1/2.. to ..6 pounds.. If you had the lenghth and girth you could get a very accurate weight. There is a formula.

Exactly , I estimated that fish to be a good 22- 24 inches..
If that's the case that fish should be easily between..5 1/2 to 8 lbs..He's a little slim for 8 but could go 6 1/2.

Here's a 3 1/2 I caught last year..yours is much bigger.

i would go with 5 also maybe a little more like 5.5
