ive tried using panty hose with chicken livers and sometimes the catfish just wont have it. I however found calves liver to work quite well its tougher than chicken livers and stays on the hook a ton better.

I have used cheese hotdogs with the same success as chicken liver. try it, you'll be surprised. It also stays on better.

Someone at the campground said to use hotdogs or sausage to catch them.
