From what u listed to be in the pond ive only had experince with trout and i find the best bait for trout is worms, corn, shimp or fish eggs.

minnows work for almost every single fish it just depends on the size

All depends on what is available...I always caught my own night crawlers..I enjoyed doing that as much as fishing when I was a kid. LOL

But these days....if shiners, worms , minnows etc were easily available..I'd be using minnows.
I've never caught a trout on one but MANY bass, crappie and channel cats. I've caught lots of trout on worms...I raise red worms...nice chunky ones that stay alive for a long time.

If it was me ..I'd have 2 rods out with minnows and 2 rods out with red worms or crawlers.;)

Worms or minnows. I use wax worms and rosy reds for trout all the time.

Minnows are great bait ...

But, if I had to choose ONE bait, a nice juicy crawler is pretty tough to beat for most species... Notable exceptions are pike, pickerel and crappies..Never had much luck on those three species with worms..
