I've only seen worms in spotted bass here in our rivers. They want most of them out so we keep them and eat them. The worms do not cause any harm to the body and as long you don;t think about it while your eating them, you'll never know.

Mostly sunfish around here, it seems that half of them have worms.

Certain lakes and certain species. Perch are a good one for worms, now on the lake I fish in the winter you will never find one (worm that is). Right up the road a few miles every lake, the perch are infested with them.

Here in Vermont on Lake Champlain the crappie seldom have any worms. Bluegills are almost always clean but the sunnies and small perch usually have them. Large lake perch live in deeper cold water and are usually clean.
