new tournament rule suggestion

need to get this approved from you guys. to make it easier on myself, i'd like to round up scores to the nearest once. (ie 4.48 lbs would become 4 lbs 8 oz, and so on. this ok by everyone?

Sure but 4.48 rounded to the nearest ounce is 4.50 pounds not 4.8 ;)
ok partner..
mine this morning was right on 4.4 ounces

but there are 16 onces in a pound hence the 4 lbs 8 oz = 4.5 lbs ;)

I'll also request everyone post pounds, then onces, instead of 4.7 or so because that can be taken as 4.7 lbs, or 4 lbs 7 onces.

Please don't take me wrong Josh..I'm serious I like you. I teach 2 hours of math daily and I do need to make sure of this .It's a third grade concept. ..andI don't want to be called on the carpet for teaching wrong. We have spent 3 semisters in rounding to the nearest ?? Ok ..my 4.4 or 4 and 1/4 pound bass was measured exactly to the nearest ounce. Four pounds and four ounces.

here is your first post...4.48 lbs would become 4 lbs 8 oz The digital scale used to say 4.48 is breaking your fish down in 100ths. Brother, .48 rounded to the closest tens will be .50 OH OK :)...:(I see it. You are right. Please understandI wasn't trying to be a jerk. The principal walks through our classrooms daily and I always try to make sure I'm not teaching wrong..Sorry buddy, you are correct. 4. 50 is 4 1/2 pounds which is 4 pounds 8 ounces. You are correct.
