What do ppl ussally use to catchgarfish with rod& line?
1. live bait
2. dead bait( whole or pieces?)
3. lures
4. rope?( i was reading that on the net- ppl suggesting a piece of rope to catch im( no hooks))

I don't purposely try to catch them...well...a few times I did. Top water baby Heddon Torpedoes work like a charm...and shiners 6 inches from the top are a guarantee.

Yes sir, I was fishing at Saddle Creek. The rules for the park was you can keep 3 fish under 15" and one over 24" . I was trying some new recipes and my wife wanted 3 young bass. Saddle Creek is heavily fished and 3 bass are not easy to catch in the summer. Anyway I caught the 3 all aorund 14 1/2 inches. A game warden pulls long side of me. He tells me the fish must be over 15" He was new..He made me open the cooler.ALL3 fish jumped out...and swam away.[:@]I was ticked. I had himfollow me to the sign to show him the correct size. I didn't even get an apology.
