RE: This or that in fishing.
live bait...
Actually, I prefer artificials in many circumstances, and in many circumstances artificials are the BEST option... For instance, in MOST cases, I can catch MORE and BIGGER smallmouth bass on my hand tied hair jigs than I can catch on ANY bait.... However, in some cases, bait is best....If I can catch fish without having the hassle of live bait, fine... If not, I have NO problem using live bait.. One good example is fishing for LARGE, WILD trout in small streams... If you can catch as many big trout on ANY artificial as I can catch on live night crawlers, have at it... I'm talking big wild brown trout from 15 to 20 inches...Perhaps we can make a little wager....;).... As far as live VS. dead bait, live bait is nearly ALWAYS as good as dead bait, and in many cases, it's MUCH better... |

Pygmy, you got sointo that one you forgot to ask a question.
River or Stream? |
RE: This or that in fishing.
Stream a nice wide deep stream ;)
Would you wade in a Florida lake that you knew had gators and moccassins?? Yes or no |
RE: This or that in fishing.
Isn't a river a stream...??... Sorry...Just being a smarta**...:D...
I assume by a stream, you mean a SMALLER stream, like what we call a Creek ( or rather ,CRIK) up here in the Foothills of the Apallachians... In that context.....STREAM... In answer to Chuck's question.... YES ... I have no greatphobia of gators or snakes... I respect 'em andkeep an EYE peeled for 'em, but I don't let fear of them ruin my fun... You come across a really really freshly killed animal laying in the creek you are fishing and you have that feeling something is watching you, there is a steep rocky hill on one side of you and a really thick pine forest on the other side of you, and you are in the Rocky Mountain foothills. What do you do.(this happened to me, very scary experience) 1. Do you just continue on fishing and act as if the dead animal isnt there 2. Do you climb up the hill to the top to escape the area and situation, and head down stream a bit more then climb down and continue fishing, 3. Do you turn back and head the other way and just call it a day 4. Do you start throwing stones and such into the trees too possibly scare whatever might be in the trees away and continue on fishing |
