point is, if you want it, and dont mind doing little maintence things, buy it. We're just trying to tell you that you can find a much newer boat/motor for 4 grand.

I searched EBAY ended auctions ....... for $4,000 you won't find a Ranger in really good condition. You might find a late 80's early 90's Stratos or something ..... and it'll be well used for $4,000

$6,000 can get a pretty nice boat, with an outboard. But thats another $2,000 you know ?

can you show me ? find me a boat that is 18', fish and ski, with a comparable engine and in excellent condition (with cover, and ski rack)

Theres other brands besides ranger. Ebay is the best place to sell a boat if your the seller - you'll usually get more than what its worth. Check your local papers, bassboatcentral.com, and craigslist.com

I know a lot of people that won't go near OMC's Volvo or Buick engine?

If you have to go through it and replace seals and if you have problems with a lower unit you'
ll spend two thousand pretty quick.

Buster this boat is $995 more than the 1 your looking at but its a 1995 model and this one's at a DEALER.And i didn't look long to find this one thereboats like this outthere.Look around and you'll find one alot newer than a 82 for 4,000.
