At pay lakes, they stock them daily with fish. People then pay, often per fish or by the pound, to catch them. Kind of like hunting reserves where they turn pen raised pheasants loose at dawn, then folks come out and hunt them.

Now that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of!

Well, prostitution works on the same principle and has the same 100 percent success rate. So, there must be some merit to it;)

We have them around my area, it's just like fishing in a hatchery. For very young kids it would make a great memory. But anymore than that no thanks.

Same thing as canned hunting. A shortcut that eliminates the sport. To those people who feel the need to get their hunting and fishing experiance that way I feel sorry for you.

people pay $10 to keep the fish
and we also have a big pound were people can enter a big fish contest

Alot of lakes here in Maine are stocked with fish. Be it salmon, brook trout, splake, and lake trout. But, our purchases of fishing lisences, and fishing rigging ( rods, lures, etc. ) go towards stocking them. There is a few places set aside for children or handicapped to fish. I know here the waters are big and plentifull but, if that is all they have there then so be it. But, why charge a child $10 to fish? Perhaps this should be of help to get some of the area buisnesses some buisness. Wouldn't they help out for such a cause to get children fishing? As for me to pay $10 dollars to fish, well that would be crazy no matter how big or small. But, again here there is alot of places to go after them.
