Fishin the Walmart

Well since Walmart is a HOT TOPIC, what do you freshwater anglers think about Walmart's prices on fishing items?

I personally have bought alot of fishing gear from Walmart...and its some of the best shopping!

There prices are the best! Nothing is better than Wal-Mart and that's all there is to it....

I think their rod's are priced great. IL have some nice reels and the rod's are good brand names and cheap.

I do think their combo's are a little cheap though.

I've bought a lot of fishing gear from wal mart and will continue to do so. Good prices and they offer what works good for me in my area. It won't be long before they are putting things on clearance sale. Yesterday I bought 14 packs of berkly power worms at Academy for 88 cents a bag.

I buy my Lightning Rods, reels, bullet sinkers , bobbers, line .crank baits, and boat seats there. ..at Wally

My depth finder, Rooster Tail spinners , worm hooks come from Cabelas.

My worms come from the local tackle shop.

Odds and ends..BASS PRO

Oh, dude, the combos suck bad. I bought one for an exgirlfriend...a Zebco 404 with rod. It sucked bad. The reel kept dropping slack.

I broke up with the beotch before she got a chance to use it, but Sureisaniceskimask managed to catch a nice autumn golden colored Large Mouth Bass with it. about a 2.5 pounder

I've bought countless Baby 1- there. All of my rods and reels have been gifts from my dad so I'm not real sure where they came from. I buy all of my live bait and various odds and ends from a local shop though.

I seldom shop there because I don't think they carry the quality that I am used to using. I always buy from Cabelas, Bass pro or Gander Mountain.

I shop there but mostely my fishing stuff comes from canadian tire which has great rods and reels. I get my live bait from gas stations.

I do shop for terminal tackle and some crankbaits there. LOVE those Rebel Wee Craws. If I'm looking for a Daiwa or Abu baitcaster, it's my first stop. Otherwise we have a local shop called Lunkers, sort of a mini Cabela's or Bass Pro. They are more expensive but if the tournament pros are talking about it they have it. Plus Wally World doesn't carry the rode I insist on.
