Rainbow Trout

I know he isn't a monster, but he is a good one for me. I was fishing the Escanaba River in Upper Michigan. I was planning on using crawlers but had to switch not know it was artificial only. I had been fishing a spot, knowing I was coming up to a good hole. I caught a few smallies. Had a huge Brown Trout on. Finally I hooked into this Rainbow. It isn't the first, or biggest I have caught. He was a prize to me though.

The cast after I caught him, I had on a Northern Pike. I fought him for about 15 minutes and had him in the slowwater a few times. The guys fishing in the next hole said he had to be about 38-40". He then go into the fast water again and snaped my line. What a fight!
