Do ya release the smallmouth.? If I caught them from a nice clean stream I'm sureI would eat them. I've caught a few in Maryland and they are really good eatting.

Looks like I will have some compition in the smalie class, nice fish. I have only been out once for bass and didnt even wet a line, helped the girlfreind fish. I have a few new bass spotslined up and one thatmay be a gem, Ihave seen some monster bass in there and know a guy who fishes them, and I think he is the only one.

I release my bass too...but only because they taste grassy. I wish I liked them but I don't . In Maryland I ate the white perch , yellow perch, white norhtern suckers, smallies , largemough , catfish , browns , rainbows, bluegills , bullheads, and the channels. We ate them all man. The white perch were the most plentiful and would catch them at night time . I only eat5 types of freshwater fish in Florida.
Nile Perch
Shellcrackers { Red earred sunfish}
Bluegills
Crappie
Sunshine Bass..{ Hybred white bass / striped bass}
