Great fishing reports and pics Reb. Grasshopper ..if I didn't have a freezer full of specks I'd be out there bluegillin too. Those smallmouth are mouth watering as well. Been along time since I ate them. Over 30 years.

RE: May 7th Weekend Fishing Report.
May 9th
I got to the stream around 11:00 this morning with some hopes of catching some fish! The water is very clear and its cool. Kinda cloudy, but around 1:00 the sun broke through. I started out throughing a rapala jerkbait, but switched to a silver and clear grub with some silver flake in the tail. First cast was a slab of a bluegill, and the next was a smallie that was going for 8 inches...... well......a few cast after that i hooked this bad boy! The hook fell out of his mouth after i lipped him ![]() he is 17 inches, and my biggest smallmouth to date!! |

Nice fish All.
Hey pa yote hunter, if that's a "self portrait" you've got a talent besides fish'n:). Very good. I only put 2 in the freezer, caught a few too small. 1/4oz black jig head w/ 2" chartruesse twistertail. LMB & whitebass. Both seemed to like it that day. God bless & good fish'n. PK |
