YEA YOUR RIGHT MT I HAVE ONLY BEEN IN BOATS WITH EXPERIENCED DRIVERS AND I KNOW 18 FT BOATS HANDLE GOOD AND IT IS 80% DRIVER IF YOU ASK ME. i AM NOT GONNA BASH ANY BRANDS EITHER BECAUSE ALLISONS ARE FINE BOATS JUST NOT MY PEICE OF PIE. BTW I LOVE GOING 90 SOWN A RIVER ST8 A WAY AND IF YOU ASK ME NOTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN BEING IN A RIVER THAT HASNT BEEN DEVELOPED AND IS STILL 95% CYPRESS TREE AND ALL OF THE WILDLIFE ON IT.

PS CHUCK I WOULD USE 4/0 GAMA'S ON A 10 IN. WORM

what i was trying to say is a 21' footer can ride as rough as an 18 in the "wrong hands" and vice-versa someone runnining an 18 that knows what they are doing is alot smoother than someone that dosen't have a clue in a bigger boat, myself for big water 18' or 18'6" would be my minumum, i am currently running a 20' hull, sometimes i wish it was smaller, but all the storage and room sure is nice.

take care man, and catch a big'un

I used a 5/0 hook with a 3/8 oz sinker.

As for the boat thing, mines a 17', and I've been out in 4 - 6' swells, and came back relatively dry.

know exactly what you mean, and yes there is nothing wrong with any boat size given proper respect for the conditions, as long as you don't go crazy you can navigate some pretty bad water, be safe though, no fish is worth the ultimate price, and you always want to fish another day

exactly mt no fish is worth the ultimate price and josh is right i meant to say 5/0 gamakatsu hooks with a slightly smaller lead but what ever floats your boat.

P.S. if the fish wont bite with that lead on put on a small split shot and slow fish it i cant tell you how many fish bite this rig

I don't know about you but I've been on a windy lake with just acanoe and small motor and we were just fine. But usually I fish in a 14 ft alumacraftwith a 5 horse 1963 Johnson motor.I really don't under stand the need for a boat bigger than 16 ft unless your in really rough water. Also I think that it's pointless to buy one of those Ranger or the really fancy ones unless your going to be doing some big tournaments.

Most of that 40 grand is for dealer prep, rigging, accesorries, and mostly the motor.
