does anyone really keep it simple and use just one rod for every kind of fish they fish for like I do.

I used to use plain mono but tried fireline and loved it's sensitivety

i need more than one rod however. I need an ultralight for trout and panfish, and a medium rod for bass. The medium rod is jsut to big for trout and panfish while the ultraligt is just to small for bass.....

Well I meant that white 2 bucks for 1000yard stuff...but since this thread started (my computer's been down awhile) I've switched to plain stren. I'm not apposed to the money part of this. I started the whole thread out of curiosity as to wheither or not anyone else just considered it a hassle. I CAN say that the stren is worth the little price difference two or three times over. I had forgotten what I was missing out on. Seeing as I took about 6 years off from fishing. I still think I qualify for the kiss principle. One ultralite spinner, one M action spinner, and a MH baitcaster (which I'm still "relearning"...last time I was any good with one I had to cast with both hands everytime).

Thanks for entertaining my questions guys.
