It was caught in one of the shouthern states by the coast. Looks like a Northers Pike to me....

It's some species of pickeral but of course pike can live down in that area also. A better picture would help out alot.

I've never heard of a pike ever caught in the south. We do have Jacks {Chain pickeral } They are considered trash fish down here. Not if I catch any. Although they are boney they are very tasty. I've caught chain pickeral up to 30 inches in Virginia. They are quite delicious and will wreck havic on a Rooster Tail or Mepps Comet. WATCH those teeth! YIKES!

Looks like a chain pickeral to me but a better side shot would help
to tell you. We catch a lot of chain pickeral up here and they do best in warm water.
