if you are looking for a portable ice house, i fish out of a clam 1060. it works awesome, when it is set up the dimensions are 6x10. and the house only runs about $350-400 which isnt bad at all

Try one of the Clams shelters.

They have one that sells for around $250 and its light and really nice to use.

You'll have a good buck in anything you build but you'll have a lot more weight to it and that can be a BIG factor when your pulling it across snow-covered ice by hand.

The Clam is light and can rather easily placed in the back of a lot of cars that have fold-down rear seats...another nice factor to consider.

I bought one about 7 years ago. If you do the math and count all the times I've used it over the years, the cost is really rather reasonable.

Go to Thorne Bros website to see them. That's a great outfit to deal with and buy from.

Hope that helps.
