How much can I get a used permanent ice shack for?
 

I have plenty of portables, but I would like to get one to leave out on a nearby lake just so I could have a place to go and relax and not have to worry about dragging all of the stuff out all the time. I don't need one of those huge ones with bunks and all of that fancy stuff like DirecTv dishes. It doesn't have to be a huge shack either, a little one would do just fine. Maybe a.......7x8 or something? 8x8? I don't know, how much do you think I could get a cheap one for?

You could make one for close to nothing. I come from a long line of ice shack builders and they are nothing to put together. Scratch up any materials you can and make a shack. One thing that will save lots of money is ripping 2 by 4s in half. The half 2 by 4s are plenty strong.

Keep it simple and throw a plexy glasswindow in for some light.

Dont wast your money on one that someone else put together.

I made mine with 3 door hinges on each corner holding it together. Makes it super easy to break down just pop the pins and it is down for the season. It doesn leave a tiny gap at the corners but a little tape on the inside and outside eliminates any breaze from blowing through.

Sometimes you can be in the right place at the right time & get an excellent deal. Just keep looking.
