Remote Small mouth fishing.

Anyone out there into canoeing and fishing remote waters for Smallmouth Bass????

I have done a little bit of that type of fishing in northern Minnesota. Caught lots of fish. We used leech on a jig, and rapala's. Some big one's also.

If you want the best small mouth fishing go to Rainy lake, in Northern Minnesota. You have the ability to use a boat and motar, and you whole areas of the lake to your self. The fishing is the best in the world, walleye, muskie, smallmouthbass.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area and Quetico National Park are excellent areas for canoeing and almost all of the lakes have smallmouths in them. I'd reccomend that you check into a trip to one or both of those areas. Beautiful country too.
