Where are the snakeheads
I wasn't on this site last year when we were having the Snakehead delima here on the Potomac last year so I don't know if it was brought up as a post or if you all are familiar with it? But last year from April to Aug. we had confirmed catches of a non native fish called the Northern Snakehead 19 to be exact. It was a huge deal because this fish is extremely agressive and was predicted to displace our fantastic Largemouth population if they were to start reproducing.Well it is all quiet this year with not 1 being reported caught what happened? I am starting to wonder if most of them were hoaxes but I can't see all of them being hoaxes. They were not a tropical species so they were supposed to be able to make it through the winter,so to me it is a mistery, Anyway we have our fingers crossed that we won't see anymore. What are you thoughts?

RE: Where are the snakeheads
They were probably plantedby someone who bought them in a pet shop. They are so aggressive that hopefully they were all caught or there are so few that they can't find each other to reproduce. With any luck they will all be gone.

RE: Where are the snakeheads
Truth be told I haven't seen much mention of them either. After all the hubub last year you would think that you would at least hear something.
