Mine is red worms

Nice juicy worms can't hardly be beat.
I've caught alot on small grasshoppers and crickets too.

I use a size #8 or #10 carlisle style hook (the long shank helps when removing a hook from their tiny mouth) with a whole night crawler, no sinker or bobber let the worm suspend its a more natural presentation. with a ultra light setup and limp line you should beable to cast pretty far. Ive caught some real monsters at a blue gill management lake on this rig. sofar the biggest ive caught was 12 inches it weighed 11 oz talk about a slab.

Worm on a hook, underneatha bobber. Back at our pond, you can catch a bluegill just about every cast.

well....worms, cricketts, small crank baits. i've heard that if you spray WD40 on your whateverbait you are using, that it makes the bluegill bite sooooo much better. never have tested it yet, but earlier this year i was fishing and this guy was plling bluegill out left and right. so i asked him what he was using. he said that he had one pole with just worm on it and the other with worm and WD40. he said he only has caught about 3 on the pole without WD40. i don't know why it would make them bite better. but it seemed to work for him.
