circle hooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

Tried these this past week on catfish, and they are worth their weight in gold. Any of you guys ever tried them? I never missed a fish, and it was easy to release the one I didnt want to keep because they were all hooked in the corner of the mouth.

used them and love them. they may be expensive but if u hook them u almost never loose them unless its a small mouth bass

ga, I did some fishing on Sanibel/Captva Island (I have a son and daughter that live and work there in separate locations) in Fl last week and used the circle hook for the first time. My son set me up and we were fishing for snook (sp) as well as redfish and others. We were using live bait with the circle hook and I think I lost the first3 snook that hit the bait. I had a tendency to "set the hook" and missed every time by pulling the hook out of the snook's mouth.

My son explained what I was doing wrong and he told me to "salute" the fish while holding the rod. This worked every time. The snook I caught (some 40+ inches) fought like heck and every one was hooked on the side of the mouth, making it easy to release with no affect on the fish....Had I not done that type of fishing in FL, I probably would never know what a circle hook was....

They are good for lines but I do not like them for rod and reel.You have to let the fish take the bait down his tought than just snug up the line.I catch a ton more fish on J hooks on rod and reel than circles.On lines they are fine the fish takes the bait down his gut than trys top swim away.

They are very good for kids and people that do not fish much.

the only time i use them is when im wacky rigging finesse worms or senko style baits. I use Diachii bleeding catch &release circle hooks. really good hookups on them so far. I might use them for some dropshotting, but i really never fish live bait so i never have to use them.

They work pretty well. I use the smaller ones on bass as well.

They work really well for catfish. They almost always just lip hook the fish. I don't set the circle hooks. Just start cranking.

Best Hook for cats it's all we use.
