susquahanna smallmouth

Anyone else on here fish the susquahanna for smallies. I have been out about 4 times this past week and it seems as though the fishing has come to a halt. All the old faithful lures don't seem to be producing. I've tried tubes, twisters, rebel craws and even shiners but the only thing I seem to be catching them on is a 4" silver senko. Anyone else have any lure and colors that have been producing lately. Oh yeah, I fish out of columbia in Lancaster county Pa.

WOW I used to fish the river as a child in Cecil county Maryland. The river is much wider than it is in Lancaster. The big deal then was catching shad and herring. I lived close to the Conowingo Dam. We had smallies in the streams nearby but I have never recalled anyone catching smallies from the Susquehana in Maryland.

In Maryland the river is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile wide. FAST moving waters.

I don't know about the river being wider in Maryland. Up here it's about1 1/2 miles wideand is loaded with smallies, they just don't feel like biting right now. (at least not anything I'm throwing LOL).I actually can't imagine fishing this river and not catching a smallie.
