Ice Flashers

So I'm looking into getting a flasher for ice fishing. I have it narrowed down to three options to choose from, all around $300 (on a budget) The Vexilar FL-8, the Hummingbird Ice35, and the Marcum VX-1. Any of these better than the other? Any input would be appreciated.

Flasher

I have a Marcum lx 5 love it. My son has a lowrance x67 and loves it the x67 has a flasher and a graph mode both and I use it on the boat in the summer. Also it is easier on batteries.

I have an FL-8 and love it. The one nice thing about the Humminbirds is that they operate on different frequencies than the Marcum and Vexilar units so you won't have interference if you're fishing next to someone using a Marcum or Vexilar. I think the power output for the VX 1 is 1000 watts, the Ice 35 is 800, and the Fl-8 is 400. With the Marcum you get the zoom feature that you won't get with the FL-8. The Ice 35 has a zoom but it's kind of weird in that it's a 10', 2X zoom so it's not going to do you much good in less than 20 feet of water. Marcum's target separation is slighting narrower than Vexilar also. Vexilar makes a digital depth meter that you can use so you get a definitive depth. All three will be three color flashers. If it were my money I would go with the Marcum.

I have used both the vexilar fl 8 and marcum vx1. both perform very well but I ended up buying fl8 because it was a little cheaper. couldnt be happier

At first I thought you meant an ice-fishing tear drop jig (I grew up calling these flashers).
$300 would be a pretty high price! :)
