Here is a link you might try, they have quite a few selections, from the "do it your selfer" to 99% complete.

Midway carries some that might give you the best of both worlds. Accurate Innovations rifle stocks feature hand rubbed oil finishes with laser cut checkering - but also include a full length aluminum bedding system that free floats the barrel. Around $300. These are very handsome stocks. I put one on a .220 Swift last year for a customer - complained later that it was too pretty to hunt with.

if solid wood, i'd look at richards (same site as doubleA specified), they usually have pretty good close-outs on remington 700's and winchester 70's. If you'd consider a laminate, I'd go to boyd's. You can get an unfinished laminate through boyd's for about 80 bucks. I just got a ross thumbhole for my a-bolt and was surprised how easy iot was to finish inletting the action.

If you want a factory stock then go to Numrich.

NUMRICH

Otherwise Boyds has the best prices around for laminate.

Google "wood stocks" - you'll hit a lot of them.
