Light Weight Stock for Remington 700
Most of the rifles I build use McMillian or H-S Precision stocks. Have customer that wants an ultra light varmint rifle. Any recommendations on a good lightweight stock? I have used High Tech in the past with fairly good results. Thanks. Roskoe.

Don't know much about synthetic stocks ( I like wood ), and I'm not sure this will help your situation, but Remington makes what I would consider a lightweight varmint rifle.
It's listed on their website at 6-3/4lbs., synthetic stock, stainless/fluted barrel. Model 700 LVSF Here's a link: http://www.remington.com/firearms/ce...re/700lvsf.htm |

It will be hard to beat the high tech stocks for quality and light weight but brown precision also makes some lightweight stocks.

Thanks, guys. I will make some phone calls and compare weight. I believe the High Tech Specialties stock is only 20 OZ. Roskoe.

20oz without a pad . What no mention of Mcmillan hunter edge or pacific research Rimrock both that are light. The Rimrock is an oustanding stock
[quote][They make the stocks for the Weatherby MKV Ultra-Lightweight. A beautiful, lightweight stock. /quote] Thats a Bell and Carlson stock BTW |

Jail can be a fun place to hang out for awhile - only if your title is "Arresting Officer".

I stand corrected on who makes the stocks for the Weatherby Ultralight, it is Bell and Carlson. I always get them and Brown precision mixed-up.
