Spartan gun shotguns?
 

Anyone have one or know much about them? I am interested in the a single shot in 20 ga. Also, where does one find them? What stores sell them?

I was checking a single shot Spartan this weekend. They are are nice looking, feeling and handling gun. Lock up was real tight. $78.

But it is not what I want for my boy because there is no external hammer to visually see it is cocked. It cocks automatically everytime you open it and close it. There is no way to uncock it, either. That's probobly why it is one of the rare singles with a safety.

I think we're just going to go with another H&R.

if you go onto the remington website you can get to the spartan site. remington makes them so i guess they would be a good gun. good luck

Actually they are made in Russia, all Remington does is import and sell them!

They were brought in under "other" names in the past, and the price was lower then too.

Remington puts thier name on them and raises the price . That doesn't make them a good buy . Baikal makes them and without Remingtons name sell for 50 to 100 less .

they are really made in russia(as you said) by EAA Corp. AKA Bakal. i have looked at the spartans, and have not liked what i see. i personally would go with a H&R.
