Need Opinions or experiences...
 

I'm considering buying a Springfield Armory SAR-8. I was wondering if any of you guys or gals have had any exerience or read reviews. I am having a hard time fining info on the springfield. Lots of stuff out there on the other similar types. Supposedly this is a discontinued rifle which is why its fairly reduced in price. its a bit over 800 but the HK is over 2500 for same thing. Anyway any advice would be appreciated.

yea they stopped makin those awhile back, is that 800 for a new or used one?? on the HK's is that 2500 for a new or used one?? My dealer in town can get either HK G36's or 91's for 500 to 600 used or 1200 to 1300 new. have you considered a FAL ? they are different in design but are basically the same type of rifle as the HK or the SAR-8, IMO are 10 times the rifle compared to the others and are alot lower in price, parts, accesories and magazines are easier to find too.

Thanks for the info Desert,,,that was the price for the brand new in box rifle with 4 20 rd mags,,I still havent bought it yet but i have a definite itch..

The sights seem easier to adjust on the SAR than the FN and i have heard a lot of horror stories about other "clones" of the hk91. was trying to find out if any similar problems existed with the sprinfield imports. I guess im trying to see if its a design flaw or just a company with a bad reputation,,

check out www.atlanticfirearms.com you can get them for at 400 new, they have the HK new for 1200 i think. most dealers will let you ship to there FFL for about 10% so give them a look
