Charles Daly Maxi-Mag

Has anyone had any experience with the new Charles Daly Turkey guns that I saw in the Turkey Call magazine this month. It looks and feels good. I saw one at Wal Mart, the cheap price has me worried, you usually get what you pay for!!! Comments please??

RE: Charles Daly Maxi-Mag

hambone1, I have a Charles Daly and have been shooting the heck out of it! so far I like it very much,it seems it will shoot fast, no jamming, easy to clean,I can fire from the low base factory loads to the loads i use for geese. I have a remington 1100 and the 1187, the CD is lighter and has more of a kick with 3"mag. loads but its only due to how light it is. The patterns are great, I tested them at 20,30,40,and 50 yards. The one I have had no open spots in a 6" circle at 50 yards larger than 2and 1/2 inches(mod). The gun is easy to swing and fire. I like the one i have and will be useing it on turkey this season.I also like the how the plug is held in ,you need to give the the cap a half turn to remove the spring , I have had the 1100s spring shoot out and hit the walls when i would remove the barrel for cleaning.
