all hands down on the 30-30 for Deer at short range(10-100yrds)
For deer and other medium game at 250yrds all hands down 7mag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For big game(elk moose grizzly) at 200yrds all hands down on the 7mag and 300wm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For big game at 300 yrds all hands down on the 300wm and 338wm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The gun of all times in the western days (1880's) The hands need to go down and stay down for the 30-30(after all there where no mags back then and no 30-06's back then)

.30-06 in 180gr. I have a .30-06 1903A3 Remington Springfield rifle that my dad bought when he was 18, and gave to me when I was 14. To all potential questions; I do still use it; and its a 'Remington' Springfield since during WWII other manufacturers were given the rights to produce the rifles- and mine was manufactured by Remington(likely in 1942). .270's just don't give you the options in the bullet weight department that the ol' ott-six does

6.5 x 57, not a military round it was only chambered in Mauser sporters, or custom rifles.

Fav is the .22-250 (M700 BDL Custom Del.)

Next, my M700 BDL (1963) in 7mm rem mag. Very accurate and I can handle the recoil no problem with 162 gr handloads.
