Interesting you brought this up. I was at a local shop last evening and someone asked the very same question. The guys work their the all said....run far away. Apparently, they sold some last year and never had a satisfied customer. I have read similar thoughts on hear as well.

Stick with the provens:
Winchester Model 70
Rem 700 BDl
Browning A-bolt
Tikka
etc.

Match it with a solid mid-ranged but good quality scope like; Elite 3200, etc You'll have gun you love and won't want to or need to get rid of. (Plus resale for the tested true's is much better)

Or look for a good used gun!

The 710 is ugly and has a rough action but the one I shot in 30-06 would group 1-1/2"(as good as the weatherby guarantee) with factory loads.I would not own one but I do know of a couple of very satified owners.

another gun that is too good to be true.stick with your 700 BDL,ADL,or mountain rifle or even model 7 with a leupold scope and youll have a great gun.

you know im glad soo many people sound here, are so open to new guns, it makes me think that the industry has a future other than what is produced today.
the remington 710 is a rifle built for someone intersted only in hunting and not in shooting all that much. the one box of ammo a year people. for them this is all they need. some people cry out: the barrel in pushed into the receiver so you can never change the barrel, well for the people that dont shoot much this is a non-issue. the acton is rough some say, well if you want to have someone polish it up nice and slick have a gunsmith do it.
the took all these cuts to try and make the rifle as affordable as possible, and 1.5" groups at 100 is definatly good enough accuracy to hunt with out to 200 yards.
i say if that is all you need consider getting one, also consider the savage made firearms as they are also a cheap guns, but they are usually accurate.
