Tofer Check out the laser grips by Crimson Trace. www.crimsontrace.com. I purchased a Beretta Vertec that came with the Crimson Trace grips from the factory. Rubber, non slip grips with the laser built into the top side of the grip. They are also adjustable for windage and elevation. Thay are outstanding performers.

ruger makes awesome revolvers and decent rifles but there autos are ugly, inaccurate ,and poorly balanced but they are tough, rugged and reliable kinda like the mini-14. but thats ofcourse just my opinion. My choice of hangun is either a Kimber or springfield 1911 or springfield XD if they would ever make it in a 45 acp rather then the whimpy 40 smith and 9mm so untill then I will stick with the glock model 21C and glock model 30. I also like the taurus PT 145 kind of a glock model 30 nock off but every bit as good and half the price.

High Desert Wolf........A .40 S&W wimpy!?

I agree that the 9mm isn't in the same league (but I still wouldn't want to get shot by one), but the .40 wimpy?

Here's the ballsitics comparison of a .40 vs a .45 both in JHP Winchester White box

.40 (180gr JHP) Velocity Muz: 1010fps......50yds: 954fps
Energy Muz: 408 ft lbs.........50yds: 364 ft lbs.

.45 (230gr JHP) Velocity Muz: 880fps........50yds: 842fps
Energy Muz: 396 ft lbs.........50yds: 363 ft lbs.

Would you rather get shot by the wimpy .40?

Not sure of using a 9mm on a crackhead prefer a 40 or 45 caliber.

Roger that I got the .40 and i love it...I think that .45s are overated.

just my opinion if you want REAL handgun get a .454 or .480.

I know i know....... 40's are good just not my bag of beans, but you cant replace mass with velocity, in that case i beleive a 45 acp has more knock down power for the simple fact its a bigger chunk of lead flying through the air. Also I am a reloader an prefer to reload 45 acp then 40 smith because i have had tomany problems with cases bulging and case head seperation with the 40 smith. asfar as being shot I wouldnt even want to be shot with BB gun let alone a 40 or a 45 LOL

Overated????? the cartridge has been proven time and time again for nearly 100 years..... how long has your 40 been around???? 45 acp is still the primary choice for the seals and special and many LE agencies. theres nothing wrong with a 40 smith just dont go knockin the 45 acp. now if you want to talk overated the 45 GAP is slightly overated LOL honestly the 45 gap has no place unless glocks gonna try to replace the 40 smith withit becasue its ballsitics, bullet weights and performance are no different then a 40 smith other then its a larger diameter.

I guess I am getting old. All I know is if someone breaks into my house I sure as heck don't want to fumble around under the bed and find my pistol, then put the thing in front of my face in the dark.I keep this next to the bed fully loaded. (NO KIDS)
I would rather unload a bunch of bullets from the hip so I can see what's going on. Then after 50 very quick rounds I happen to miss........ Then I can pull out the High Point 45 and throw it at their head as thats about all it's good for.
