savage accu trigger
I have ordered a Savage .300 WSM with accu-trigger, should be here in a few days. Would like to hear from anyone using this trigger. I have always owned Remington 700's, but after reading some reviews on the new Savage, thought i would give it a shot! Please give me some feedback!

RE: savage accu trigger
My Savage ML10-II has the accutrigger, and I like it very much. Simple, user adjustable, crisp and light. It's not a Timney or Jewell trigger by any means, but its a far sight better than the factory triggers on any of the other major U.S. brands of bolt-action rifles. The only factory triggers I've seen that compare equally or better are from European makers Sako (very sweet single stage adjustable trigger) and CZ (single set trigger). That's not to say that Remington, Winchester, or Ruger couldn't make a very good trigger, but they can't because this country is literally overrun by ambulance chasing lawyers who'll sue the instant some retard shoots themselves because they were walking around with the safety off and finger on the trigger and fired the gun negligently. Savage outsmarted the lawyers by building in a secondary trigger safety that makes it impossible for the sear to fully release unless the trigger is pulled fully to the rear.
It's a great trigger system, and contributes a great deal to the value of the Savage rifle. They still don't look very pretty, but they shoot even better than before. They are worth every penny, IMO. Mike |
RE: savage accu trigger
I have 1 of the 12FVSS rifles withe the Accu trigger. The rifle is a tackdriver. A big part of this is that I can set the trigger at about 1 1/2 lb and be as safe as a 6 lb trigger !

RE: savage accu trigger
I have the 11FL in the 300wsm with the accu-trigger. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!! Came factory set at 3.0lbs. I deer hunt with it only, so i'm not into a super light trigger. very crisp and no creep. If you are recoil sensitive, better add a recoil pad.

RE: savage accu trigger
I bought a model 11 FNS .243 with the accutrigger and it is the best out of the box trigger I've ever used. This gun shoots inch groups with two over the counter ammo. I think you will find, you did good. Happy Hunting CG

RE: savage accu trigger
I LOVE the Accu-trigger on my ML10II. I dont actually have it backed all the way off, its about 3#s.
Sooner or later Remington is gonna catch on and put an adjustable trigger like on their 504 (or is it the 507? anyway that high quality 22 they offer). The best part of the Accu-trigger is that it has ZERO creep. The lever in the trigger is what engages the sear and makes it "all systems go"!!! RA |
RE: savage accu trigger
I love the accutrigger on my new savage .308. I had a Remington 7600 and that trigger was as mushy as a rotten apple compared to this one. Mine's set at 3 pounds but is crisp enough that I didn't want to go any lower on a hunting rifle.
