Ruger 77 MK II in .270 Win

Any thoughts or advice? Looking at a new one for $449, and I think there is a $40 rebate from Ruger right now. Standard, blue and wood.

I like the Ruger, but I would go with wood if you are hunting. When the plastic gets cold it is very loud when anything touches it. Much louder than some others (Winchester).

449.00 is a good price on the MKll's. That's about what I've been seeing them on Gunsamerica for lately.I saw a "All Weather" last weekend for 499.95 in 30-06 at a small hardware store. The 270 is one of my favorite deer cartridges.I think you're making a good choice.Usually this time of year Ruger does have rebates on certain models. I believe you're correct on the amount of a 40.00 rebate.
