RE: 22LR
trailer, the hammer/trigger assembly I bought from Cabela's is not from Valquarsten. I bought the one thats listed as "10/22 Competition Match hammer and sear kit" that sells for 55 bucks. It was simple to install and I'm well pleased with it. I'm not taking away from Valquarsten. I have some of their upgrades on my Ruger MKII pistol and its good stuff, but I can't see the $145 difference in the two hammer assemblies for the 10/22. Just my .02.

RE: 22LR
T/C , thanks for the info. I found the price on the Valquarten trigger assemble a bit much. Now I know what to look for. After reading the comments about the 10/22 I now have the itch to do some modifying on my 22. Looks like I’ll have another project to work on. Do you have any suggestions on heavy barrels from Cabelas?

RE: 22LR
trailer, I went with the Green Mountain Stainless fluted one for 140 USD. In the "fall master" catalog, I see where Cabela's offer a stock/barrel combo with the barrel being from Adams & Bennett. I'm not familiar with that barrel company, so I can't say anything good or bad about them. You may be able to find out something about that brand on rimfirecentral. I can vouch for the Green Mountain barrel and the hammer/sear assembly that I have. With match-grade ammo, it'll hover around 1/2 inch at 50yds.

RE: 22LR
Thanks T/C, I had my eye on the Green Mountain s/s fluted barrel and after your comments I’ll definitely take a good look at them the next time I head out to Cabela’s and I won’t forget about the hammer and sear kit. Thanks again.;)
