Savage 99C

Hi Folks

I just bought a Savage 99C (Series A) and was trying to find out when it was manufactured. I plugged the serial # into the Savage site and it said it was manufactured 1918-1919. This didn't sound right. I didn't think they started making the "C" until 1964.

Any comments on the gun or date of manufacture would be appreciated.

Manufacture of the Savage 99C began in 1965. There is a website strictly for the Savage 99. I had the link on my other computer. I think it was www.savage99.com
